Singer and actor Troye Sivan has quietly announced the launch of a fragrance and homewares label, Tsu Lange Yor. The Rush singer – who cemented his style cred via a showcase of his tasteful Melbourne home in Architectural Digest in 2021 – has designed the line with his brother Steele Mellet, he told the Australian Financial Review.
The brand features a series of fragrances, including TLY 5755 (which apparently feels like “Australia, warmth, calm and quiet”), Pool (“sunblock, gazpacho, cold raspberries”) and Luca (“neon, night, heavy denim”). A range of other pretty objects also star: an oil burner that looks like a tooth, candles and other beautifully abstract pieces. Sivan worked with Melbourne designers Castorina and Halcyon Lake to create some of the objects, and the collection itself is a salute to local creativity and creatives.
The name Tsu Lange Yor is Yiddish, and means “long life”, reflecting Sivan’s Jewish heritage. The collection will be previewed at Fitzroy’s At the Above gallery from August 18 to 24, and available to purchase online in late August. The pop-up will be open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 6pm, and on Sundays from midday to 6pm.
